Seven Seals – Amarone Wood Single Malt Whisky

A Swiss single malt from Seven Seals, first matured in ex-bourbon casks and then moved into casks that previously held Amarone. The brand ages its whisky by an accelerated, patented method, and its whiskies spend at least three years in wood. The nose is dried red berries, stewed apple, orange zest, toffee, vanilla and a little cinnamon. On the palate come wild berries, pears in red wine, caramel, mocha, butterscotch and ginger biscuits. The finish is of medium length, soft and warming, with coffee and white pepper.
