This is a peated Swiss single malt from Seven Seals, the second release in its Exotic Wood series. It has a finish in PX sherry and hickory wood, and was made to show what the Stockhausen method can do. The edition is limited to 400 hand-numbered bottles.
It has a light amber colour. The nose sits between sweet and smoky wood, with vanilla, sweet peat smoke, ginger, citrus and walnut wrapped in smoke.
The palate is strong, dry smoke with spicy sweetness, raisins, a slightly oily note, lemon and honey. The finish is very long, with sultanas, dry earthy peat and a touch of soft marzipan.
