Seven Seals – Sherry Wood Single Malt Whisky

A Swiss single malt from Seven Seals, a brand that uses its own accelerated cask maturation method. The details of the process are kept secret, and the brand's motto is 'Time doesn't matter, taste matters'. The whisky first matured in ex-bourbon casks and was then moved into fruity sherry casks. Seven Seals whiskies spend at least three years in wood. The nose offers stewed plums, fragrant baking spice, toffee-coated nuts and barley sugar. On the palate come walnut bread, dried fruit and ginger root, with brown sugar and roasted nuts. The finish carries more spice, sugared nuts and vanilla oak.
