Seven Seals – The Age of Leo

The Age of Leo is a Swiss single malt from Seven Seals, released in its Zodiac range, where each whisky is meant to express a different character. This one is finished in double Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and is described as pleasantly smoky with warming spice. It was released in a limited run of 365 bottles. The nose offers pear, berries and dried fruit, with sweet wood and a little pineapple in the aftertaste. On the palate come ripe plums, honey and dates, with balanced wood notes from the finish. A drop of water brings those wood notes further forward.
