Seven Seals – The Age of Scorpio

The Age of Scorpio is a Swiss single malt from Seven Seals and belongs to the company's Zodiac series, which sets out to show the different characters whisky can have, much as people do. It is made in batches of 365 bottles to fit the zodiac theme. Seven Seals matures its whiskies for at least three years in wood, using a patented process developed by its founder, Dr Dolf Stockhausen, to shorten maturation. Fruity and nutty flavours combine here. The nose offers vanilla cream, roasted hazelnuts and dried fruit. Sweet malt and lightly spiced oak lead on the palate, with melted pecans, roasted almonds and soft vanilla. The finish carries poached pears and baked apples with pepper and cinnamon.
