Seven Seals The Age of Taurus

The Age of Taurus is a Swiss single malt from the Seven Seals team, released as part of their Zodiac range, in which each whisky is meant to express a different character. This one is pleasantly smoky with warming spice, finished in triple wood double tawny port casks. It was released in an edition of 365 bottles. The nose is intense, salty, woody and earthy, with smoke, blue cheese, dried fruit, dark chocolate and oil-preserved dried tomatoes. The palate is earthy and woody, with toasted smoke, salted peanuts, sea salt, caramel, vanilla and a little black pepper. The finish is woody and spicy, with salted pretzels, acacia honey, raisins and a little bitterness.
