This is a three-year-old Japanese single malt from Shindo, from 2022, bottled at a cask strength of 62% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a single cask release, matured in a mizunara cask.
The colour is full gold. The nose is fresh resinous woods, vanilla, gentle mint, grapefruit and bergamot, and with water it turns to fresh plaster, buttery croissants, grist and ale. On the palate there is candied lemon, fir buds, honey, green tea and pink pepper. The finish is long, growing softer and more honeyed, with thyme honey.
