Shindo Cross Distillery 01 (70cl, 50%)

Cross Distillery 01 is the first collaboration from Shindo, made with the Kameda Distillery in Niigata. The two began distilling in the same year, and Shindo describes Kameda as both a rival and a fellow distiller. They exchanged unpeated spirits aged in bourbon casks, and each side then blended them independently to make its own bottling. It is bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The tasting notes describe a sweet, long-finishing whisky with a vibrant aroma of ageing, a mellow, full-bodied palate, and notes of dried mango, peach and coconut.
