This is a 4 year old single malt from Shizuoka Distillery, bottled by Blackadder in its Raw Cask series at 64% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled on 20 March 2019 in the former Karuizawa Pot Still K, from 100% Japanese barley, and bottled on 1 August 2023.
The spirit matured in a Japanese wine cask. It is cask strength, unfiltered and uncoloured, from cask 1129, with 217 bottles.
The notes bring together green apple, citrus peel, vanilla cream and mineral freshness with berry compote, plum and red fruit sweetness. There is an oily texture, pear and melon, light spice, honeyed malt and a trace of ash.
