This is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, made with its Staoisha spirit and bottled independently by Signatory Vintage as Edition #61 of its 100 Proof series. It was matured for 10 years in first- and second-fill Oloroso sherry butts and bottled in 2025 at 57.1% ABV.
Peat smoke and a maritime character meet Oloroso sweetness, dried fruit, citrus and warming spice.
The nose is dense with coastal peat smoke, orange peel, dates and figs. The palate is full and smoky, with ash, salted peat, dark dried fruits, orange and fudge. The finish is long, with ash, brine, citrus peel and sherried spice.
