This Edradour No.1 6 Year Old was distilled in 2020 and bottled by Signatory Vintage to mark Andrew Symington's 40 years in the whisky industry. It is one of two Edradour releases for the anniversary, and the spirit comes from the original No.1 distillery. It matured entirely in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads.
The nose has raisins and dark plums with honeycomb, toffee and hints of cinnamon and sherry spice. The palate is full-bodied and smooth, with creamy caramel, dark stone fruits and gentle oak. The finish brings chocolate and dried fruit, with fine tannins and oak spice.
