Single Malts of Scotland Ledaig 18 Year Old (70cl, 53.3%)

This is Ledaig 18 Year Old, a peated single malt from the Single Malts of Scotland range, bottled by Elixir Distillers at 53.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2023, and it is a limited edition. The nose is sherried and smoky, with seaweed, light creosote, dried chilli flakes and sweet oak. The palate is oily and powerful, with orange peel, coffee, sea salt, tobacco and white pepper. The finish is long and pungent, with lingering smoke, liquorice and salty sea spray.
