A 17 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Dufftown Distillery, the 2020 release of the Singleton. It is bottled at 55.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is fresh and orchard-like, with wild flowers, pears, crisp apples, honey and hay, grounded by an earthy note. The palate is soft and creamy, with shea butter and beeswax, more honey, milk chocolate, vanilla custard over apple crumble and hints of raspberry. The body is lightish without feeling thin.
The finish is long and surprisingly warm, with a touch of mild chilli.
