Singleton of Dufftown 18 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

An 18-year-old single malt from Dufftown in Speyside, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It combines whisky matured in bourbon and sherry casks, drawing on both American and European oak. The character is nutty and fruity, with dark toffee and dry woody notes adding spice, and a note of aniseed. In 2025 it won Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and Gold at the International Spirits Challenge. The nose brings cooked fruit, apricot jam, roasted hazelnuts and walnuts, while the palate moves from nuts and dark toffee to cocoa bitterness. The finish dries into long, oaky notes with woodsmoke and a little black pepper.
