Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey is a flavoured whiskey rather than a traditional one, made from a corn and barley mash and infused with peanut butter flavour, cane sugar, caramel and vanilla. It first appeared in San Diego in 2018 and is bottled at 35% ABV.
The nose brings roasted peanuts baked in pastry, with honey, vanilla and a little chocolate. The palate is sweet, salty and nutty, close to a peanut butter cup, with caramel and a thick, syrupy texture. The finish is long and sticky, with maple and peanut butter.
