This is a 3-year-old Slyrs single malt from Bavaria, released as Batch 3 by That Boutique-y Whisky Company in an edition of 395 bottles. It is bottled at cask strength, 52.6%, in a 50cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour.
Slyrs is a distillery at Schliersee that has been making whisky since 1999.
The nose is fruity, with vanilla, crisp apple and a restrained spiciness. The palate is full and powerful, with fresh oak, malty sweetness and a touch of spice. The finish is long and warming, with lively spice and a fine fruit sweetness.
