SLYRS Rum Cask Finish is a German single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky first spends around five years in American white oak casks. It is then moved into casks that previously held high-quality Caribbean rum, some of which held rhum agricole, a rum made from sugar cane juice rather than molasses. During this finish the whisky takes on the typical flavours of the rum, which Caribbean producers generally make in a strong, spicy style.
