A 3-year-old German single malt from the SLYRS distillery in Upper Bavaria, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company in a 50cl bottle at 52.6%. It belongs to the bottler's Norwest-Euro Express range of European whiskies.
The whisky was matured in a single crocodile-charred new American oak cask, which yielded 395 bottles. SLYRS made its first whisky in 1999 at the Lantenhammer family distillery, and a separate distillery was built nearby in 2007.
The nose is fruity, with crisp green apples, fresh peaches, pear drops, Demerara sugar and caramel. The palate is medium bodied, with honey, sweet grains and roast peanuts, then nutmeg and white pepper spice.
