Slyrs Bavarian Peat is a peated single malt whisky from the Slyrs distillery in Bavaria, Germany. It was matured in new American oak and bottled in 2022 at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose is damp earth and moss, with spicy toasted notes, a light sweetness, dried pepper and cardamom. On the palate there is earthy peat smoke, tobacco, sweet dried fruit, pear and dark chocolate. The finish is long, with fine touches of vanilla, lemon and salted caramel.
