Slyrs Classic is a Bavarian single malt from the distillery at Schliersee, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The name comes from an old term for the lake. It is made from local barley and pure Alpine spring water, and is non-chill-filtered and uncoloured.
The whisky spends three years in new American white oak barriques.
The nose is spicy, with dried fruit, lemon zest, ginger and sweet caramel. The palate is complex, with marzipan, roasted nuts and dried fruit. The finish is long and fruity, with cinnamon spice.
