Slyrs – Organic Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Slyrs Organic is a certified organic single malt from the Slyrs distillery at Schliersee in Bavaria. It is made from organic barley and local mountain spring water, then matured in American white oak casks. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colouring. The organic approach extends to the packaging, with a recycled glass bottle and a label made from regional recycled paper. The nose is fresh, with honey, cereal, a light floral note, vanilla and a hint of citrus. The palate is soft and lightly creamy, with gentle oak, allspice, sweet malt, vanilla, caramel, green apple and pear. The finish is medium in length, with soft oak and a touch of honey.
