Slyrs Rum Cask Finishing is a 2017 edition of the Bavarian single malt, matured in rum casks. The casks add a tropical sweetness and a creamy, velvety mouthfeel without making the whisky overly sweet.
The nose has brown sugar, ripe banana, coconut and a hint of pineapple, with soft vanilla and a hint of citrus from the malt. The palate brings sugarcane, toffee, light spices, ginger and woody sweetness. The finish is warm, with candy sugar, tropical fruit and a hint of oak.
