Slyrs Bavarian Peat is a peated single malt from Bavaria in Germany, made at the Slyrs distillery in Schliersee, which was founded in 1999. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The peat gives it a smoky aroma alongside the Bavarian distilling style.
The nose is smoky, with malt and a restrained fruitiness. The palate is full and robust, with spice, peaty smoke and a fine sweetness. The finish is long, warm and slightly bitter, ending on lingering smoke.
