Slyrs Single Malt Sauternes Cask Finish is a German single malt from the Slyrs Distillery in Schliersee, Bavaria. The whisky first matures in American white oak, then spends at least 14 months in original Sauternes casks from Bordeaux.
It is bottled at 46% ABV. The Sauternes finish adds citrus, ripe fruit and honeyed sweetness to the malt, vanilla and spice beneath.
The nose is bright and aromatic, with fresh citrus, ripe fruit and gentle sweetness. The palate is fruity and smooth, with vanilla, honey and sweet malt. The finish is long and warming, with honeyed fruit, vanilla and rich spice.
