This Smögen is a ten-year-old Swedish single malt, heavily peated and matured in four Oloroso sherry hogsheads. It was made with Concerto barley, distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2025, giving 1,490 bottles at a batch strength of 51.4%. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
Malt and smoke meet dark dried fruit on the nose, with orange peel, leather and a little tobacco. The palate is full and smoky, with nuts, dark chocolate, sherry sweetness, liquorice and spicy oak. The finish is long, smoky and spicy, drying out with a slight saltiness.
