This is a straight rye whiskey from Smoke Wagon, distilled in Nevada and bottled in bond in a 75cl bottle.
The mash bill is 51% rye, and the rye character comes through as black pepper and cinnamon spice, set against a sweetness the source credits to corn.
The palate is creamy and rich, with fruit and candy flavours alongside the spice. The finish is big and complex, with a spicy note that lingers.
