Smuggler's Trail is a Dutch single blended whisky made by Zuidam Distillers in Baarle-Nassau, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. Every component is distilled in-house in Zuidam's pot stills.
The blend combines single malt, a wheat whisky made from wheat and malted barley, and a five-grain whisky made from rye, corn, wheat, spelt and malted barley.
The nose has honeyed malt, subtle oak, dried fruit and vanilla. The palate is creamy, with toasted nuts, caramel and sweet malt, and the finish is lingering, with gentle sweetness, seasoned oak and a little spice.
