Sombra Reposado is a mezcal made from Espadín agave, Agave angustifolia, taken from plants matured for 7 to 9 years. It is made from the brand's Joven mezcal, which is aged for four to six months in Bordeaux wine barrels that previously held wine at Château Léoville Poyferré in St Julien.
The nose is fruity with a hint of smoke, vanilla, orange peel and blackberries. The palate is smooth and warming, leading to a long, fruit-driven finish.
