South Star Speyside 10 Year Old, 2011 (70cl)

This is a 10 year old Speyside single malt from 2011, in a 70cl bottle. It comes from the independent bottler South Star and is one of 2200 bottles. Speyside covers a 50-mile strip along the River Spey between Inverness and Aberdeen. It is home to around 50 distilleries, more than a third of those in Scotland, and most have their own water source. The region's whiskies are known for a honeyed, fruity character.
