Southern Star Paragon is a wheated straight bourbon made in North Carolina. It is bottled in bond at the required 100 proof (50% ABV), in a 750ml bottle.
The mash bill is 70% corn, 16% wheat and 14% malted barley. The whiskey pours a dark amber and has a silky texture.
Tasting notes describe sweet, floral aromas and a calm, silky palate with rich caramel. The finish is warm and lingering, with ripe apple and dried apricot.
