Spey Trutina is a single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The name is Latin for honest and pure. It was matured entirely in bourbon casks and is non-chill-filtered with no added colour. It was released in 18,000 individually numbered bottles.
It is pale gold, close to white wine in colour. The nose is light, with a savoury top note over white grapes, apple blossom and lychees in syrup, then floral notes, boiled sweets, honey and clover flowers. The palate is light and sweet at the start, with crisp acidity and scented sweets. The finish is of white chocolate.
