This is a 2009 Speyburn single malt from the Speyside distillery, selected by independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail for its Connoisseurs Choice series. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spent 11 years in a first-fill sherry butt and was bottled in April 2021.
The nose offers toffee apples, brown sugar and stewed raisins. The palate adds summer berries, pomegranate, white pepper and autumnal spices.
