Spirit of Yorkshire Filey Bay Flagship Marrying Strength (70cl, 50.1%)

Filey Bay Flagship Marrying Strength is a single estate Yorkshire single malt from The Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, bottled at 50.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is the distillery's Flagship whisky at a higher strength, and is natural colour and non-chill-filtered. Marrying strength is the distillery's own term for a point between cask strength, usually 57 to 60%, and the standard bottling strength of 46%. Before the final reduction, the whisky spends long periods at this strength, so the liquid can harmonise through a slow, gentle reduction. The barley is 100% homegrown and regeneratively farmed, so the whisky is made from field to bottle.
