Spirit of Yorkshire – Filey Bay STR Finish Batch 4 Bottled 2023 (70cl, 46%)

This is Batch 4 of Filey Bay STR Finish, an English single malt from the Spirit of Yorkshire distillery. It was bottled in 2023 at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without colouring or chill filtration. The whisky matured first in ex-bourbon casks, then moved into STR red wine casks from Rioja. STR stands for shaving, toasting and recharring, a cask rejuvenation technique credited to the late whisky consultant Dr Jim Swan.
