Springbank 10 Year Old is a single malt from the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown, on Scotland's west coast. The distillery was founded in 1828 and carries out every stage on site, from traditional malting and peat-fire drying to maturation and bottling.
This ten-year-old matured first in bourbon casks and then in Sherry casks from Jerez. It has a pale gold colour.
The nose is subtle peat and malt, followed by fresh fruit and vanilla. The palate opens lively and spicy, with green malt, coconut and ripe pear. The finish starts sweet and salty, then leaves floral, oily and woody impressions.
