Springbank 100 Proof is a five-year-old Campbeltown single malt, bottled at 57.1% ABV. This first batch brings back an expression that many enthusiasts remember from the 1990s, and it is matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks.
It is bottled without chill-filtering or added colour.
The nose is bright, with green apples, fresh gorse, wine gums and a mineral edge. On the palate, a touch of peat smoke sits with icing sugar and white chocolate, then turns greener and nuttier, with tomato plant, sunflower seeds and linseed oil. The finish is long, with honey and gooseberry.
