Springbank 12 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 29 is a Campbeltown single malt bottled at 56.6% ABV. It follows Batch 28 in being matured entirely in bourbon casks.
The straightforward cask character lets Springbank's own malt character, minerality, coastal salinity and gentle peat smoke come through more clearly.
The nose is earthy and mineral, with salt, dried banana, granola, lemon zest and smoke. The palate offers grapefruit syrup, orange pith, pomelo and white marshmallow. The finish brings cocoa powder, glazed cherries and salted pretzels, with a hint of smoke.
