This is a 16 year old Springbank from Campbeltown, distilled in 1999 and bottled by the distillery in January 2016 for the revival of its Local Barley series. It was bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.3%, without colouring or chill filtration.
The barley was Prisma, grown on Machrimore farm on the Kintyre peninsula. The whisky matured in a mix of 80% bourbon and 20% sherry casks, filled in September 1999, and the edition ran to 9000 bottles.
