Springbank – 2004 Gaja Barolo 9 Year Old

This is a 9 year old single malt from Springbank, carrying the 2004 vintage and a Gaja Barolo cask influence. Springbank is owned and run by the Mitchell family, who have held it since 1837. The distillery was mothballed briefly between 1979 and 1987, then returned to its focus on single malt. It is one of the few Scottish distilleries to carry out every step of production on site, from malting through to bottling.
