This is the 2023 release of Springbank 21 Year Old, a Campbeltown single malt bottled by the distillery at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose opens with citrus zest, pineapple upside down cake and fudge, alongside savoury notes of baked ham and tomato vine leaves and a little peat smoke. On the palate there is ripe mango, dried coconut and papaya, followed by liquorice, cola syrup, digestive biscuits, honey and a slight earthiness.
The finish is long, with orange zest, campfire embers and caramel.
