A 21 year old single malt from Springbank in Campbeltown, released as a 2023 batch. It was matured in a combination of sherry, port and bourbon casks.
The nose combines roasted chestnut, maple syrup, salted crackers and sweet smoke. Honey, orange peel and smoked meats come through on the palate, with a touch of coffee bean and dark chocolate. The finish is lingering and salty, with a little caramel sweetness for balance.
