First-fill bourbon hogshead
This is a 25 year old Springbank single malt from Campbeltown, distilled in 2000 and bottled at 42.9% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a single first-fill bourbon hogshead, cask 112, and bottled exclusively for PRC. The cask gave 186 bottles. The nose is fairly light, with tangerine, lime, melon and yellow apple, then broken branches, minty ash, almonds and toasted vanilla, with tobacco leaf, leather and old oak coming later. Butter leads on the palate, which is very oily, with thyme and rosemary, herbal honey, yellow fruits, light wood smoke and crushed mint. The finish is medium to long, with warming oak spice, smoked herbs, orange oil and drying tobacco.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
