Springbank – 25 Year Old Early 1990s J&A Mitchell Label (70cl, 46%)

This is a 25 year old Springbank, a Campbeltown single malt bottled by the distillery in the early 1990s at 46% abv in a 70cl bottle, under the J&A Mitchell label. At that time, Springbank 25 year olds were almost always topped up, or reduced to bottling strength, with considerably older whisky. The result is described as a notable concentration of flavour. The bottling comes from the same period as the Local Barley releases.
