This is the 2022 release of Longrow 21 Year Old, a heavily peated single malt from Campbeltown, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
Smoke and sweetness run together. Apricots, peaches, smoked mussels and cured meat show on the nose. The palate opens with seaweed, samphire, smoke and ripe red berries, then moves to caramelised butter, raspberries and cranachan, with peat smoke lingering in the finish.
