This is a single malt from St. George's Distillery in Norfolk, bottled by Blackadder International as a raw cask. The spirit was distilled in 2013 from unpeated barley, triple-distilled, matured for seven years in a refill bourbon cask and bottled in 2021 at 65% ABV.
It follows Blackadder's old-school approach: no chill-filtration, no caramel colouring, and the cask sediment left in the bottle.
The notes describe vanilla, caramel and young oak with vinous hints, then pear, nuts, sultanas and faint smoke. The texture is oily with peppery warmth, and the finish is medium-dry.
