Staoisha is the heavily peated whisky made at Bunnahabhain on Islay. This 11 year old single cask was distilled on 13 October 2014 and bottled by Best Dram on 3 November 2025 at 55.7%. It comes from a first fill bourbon barrel, cask 10390, and filled 229 bottles. The name comes from nearby Loch Staoisha. The bourbon barrel adds a soft, sweet vanilla note alongside the smoke and the maritime character. The nose combines sea spray, intense peat smoke, creamy vanilla, lemon peel, and gooseberry with meringue. On the palate it is full-bodied, with smoky ash, pepper, salty minerality and creamy vanilla lifted by citrus zest.
