Stauning Bastard is a Danish single malt bottled at 46.3%. It has been matured in mezcal casks, which give it an unusual character. The nose combines light smoke, leather and tropical fruit with a distinct note of agave. On the palate it is rich and complex, with vanilla, cocoa and a touch of pepper, plus a subtle mineral note from the mezcal. The finish is lingering and spicy, with earthy agave flavours.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
