Stauning Heather is a Danish single malt from the Stauning Whisky Distillery in West Jutland. It was distilled in 2013 and 2014 and bottled in May 2019 at 48.7% ABV. The distillery describes it as the first single malt whisky to have its malted barley dried solely over heather, rather than peat, a nod to the heather-covered landscape of West Jutland. The smoke is described as mild, delicate and sweet rather than overwhelming.
