Stranahan's Diamond Peak is an American single malt from Stranahan's Distillery in Denver, Colorado, in a 750ml bottle. It is aged for a minimum of four years in charred American white oak barrels at Denver's elevation of 5,280 feet.
Lower air pressure and wider temperature swings at that altitude are said to speed the spirit's contact with the wood.
The nose offers caramel, dark chocolate and toasted oak with warm grain. The palate is rich, adding a hint of smoky spice, and the finish is warm and medium to long, with chocolate and oak.
