Stranahan's – Rocky Mountain Sherry Cask Single Malt Whiskey (75cl)

Stranahan's Rocky Mountain Sherry Cask is an American single malt from the Stranahan's distillery in Denver, Colorado, finished in Oloroso sherry barrels from Andalusia in Spain. Those barrels had held sherry for more than 40 years. Oloroso is a dry, nutty, full-bodied style of sherry, and in the whisky it adds dried fruit, walnut, brine and a darker character. It comes in a 750ml bottle. The nose has over-ripe cherry, sweet apple, raisins, almonds, leather and fresh-cut hay. On the palate there is honey, Montmorency cherry, blackcurrant, fig, nutty brine and walnut. The finish brings buttery caramel, whipped cream, brown sugar and smoked cayenne.
